Binayak Sen
has played a pivotal roles over the years in academician, pediatrician, public health specialist, human rights activist but according to a Chattisgarh court, he is a Maoist and a traitor.
Dr Sen and his wife run an NGO, "Rupanter" across 20 villages to cover alcohol abuse, domestic violence against women and food security.
Sen received the Paul Harrison award for a lifetime of service to the rural poor by the Christian Medical College, Vellore in 2004, RR Keithan Gold Medal by The Indian Academy of Social Sciences (ISSA) in 2007, Jonathan Mann Award for Global Health and Human Rights in 2008.
But on 24 December, 2010, the Additional Sessions and District Court Judge B.P Varma Raipur found Binayak Sen, guilty of sedition for helping the Maoists in their fight against the state and awarded him life term.
The charges against him were as follow:
a) Treason
b) Criminal Conspiracy
c) Sedition, anti-national activities and making war against the nation
d) Knowingly using the proceeds of terrorism
e) Links with the Maoists

Now question aries that "Binayak Sen A Patriot Or Betrayer?" As far as I concern he is true patriot, politicians are making conspiracy against him.You see the history when ever a person fought for truth and justice, he faced sedition charges and forced to stay behind bars.

At last I would like to say that our history is greatest example in front of that if you will fight for truth than problem is bound to come. You see the example of Ram , Krishna, Jesus, Mohammad, Mahatma Gandhi and now Julain Assange how they faced problems in their life. So Sen also going through the same phase.
